Partner

Philipp Elsen is a partner at IOM Advisory and has extensive experience in mid-market M&A transactions. He focuses on advising shareholders, management teams and investors on acquisitions, sales processes and succession planning. At Global M&A Partners, he leads the Business Services team and is a member of the Operational Committee.

Partner

Thomas Labryga is a partner at IOM Advisory and assists management teams and founders in M&A transactions and fundraising processes. He started his career as a management consultant. Most recently, he was a partner in a venture capital firm focusing on digital technologies for energy, mobility and smart cities. At Global M&A Partners, he therefore focuses primarily on the technology and energy sectors.

As a partner at IOM Advisory, Michael Szadurski advises entrepreneurs, corporations and financial investors on medium-sized M&A transactions. Previously, he held management positions at the energy group E.ON, where his responsibilities included the execution of international M&A projects. In addition to his expertise in transactions, he is a specialist in company valuations and financing. At Global M&A Partners he is part of the sector teams Industry and Energy.

Mike Göller assists with M&A transactions in various sectors as a Vice President at IOM Advisory.

Senior Associate

As an Associate at IOM Advisory, Sam Brozynski supports transactions and fundraising mandates across multiple industries. He also leads the Deal Tracking Working Group, which is charged with maintaining Global M&A Partners' proprietary valuation database. Mr. Brozynski holds an M.Sc. in Global Finance from CBS International Business School and is also a trained banker.

Senior Associate

As an Associate at IOM Advisory, David Lieberoth-Leden advises on cross-sector M&A transactions in Germany and abroad. He also supports the Global M&A Partners teams in the areas of Energy, Business Services, Pharma as well as Packaging. Mr. Lieberoth-Leden holds an M.Sc. in Finance & Strategic Management from Copenhagen Business School and a B.Sc. in Business Administration from the University of Mannheim.

Analyst

Simon Bornscheuer supports clients in various sectors as an analyst at IOM Advisory in M&A and fundraising transactions. Mr. Bornscheuer holds an M.Sc. in International Business from Maastricht University.

Marketing | HR

Claudia Palermo supports founders from various industries in fundraising processes. She is also responsible for Finance & HR at IOM Advisory. Ms. Palermo holds a double-degree M.Sc. in Marketing and started her career in market research before joining IOM Advisory in 2020.

Office Managerin

Laura Beck supports the team at IOM Advisory as Office Manager. Through an apprenticeship as a merchant for wholesale and foreign trade, as well as previous jobs, she was able to gain experience in the assistant and back office area. Next year, Ms. Beck will complete a B.A. in International Management from the University of Applied Sciences for Economics and Management (FOM).

Xaver Zimmerer is a member of the advisory board of IOM Advisory GmbH. As managing partner of InterFinanz, Mr. Zimmerer has more than 35 years of experience in medium-sized M&A business. He is a member of the state advisory board of Commerzbank, the Ludwig Erhard Foundation, the Düsseldorf Industrial Club, the Chamber of Industry and Commerce (IHK) General Assembly and the Rotary Club of Meerbusch. Furthermore, he gives numerous lectures every year and publishes articles on the subject of "company acquisition / company sale".

Since 2020, Klaus Maier has been advising as Senior Advisor at IOM Advisory on international fundraising and M&A transactions in the automotive sector. Mr. Maier joined the former Mercedes-Benz AG in 1990. From 1998 he held the position of General Manager Financial Controlling and Planning at the former DaimlerChrysler AG in Singapore. From 2002 to 2006, he served as Director Development Sales Organization. From 2007, he was President and CEO of Mercedes-Benz China/Hong Kong. In 2014 he became Head of Sales & Marketing Mercedes-Benz Vans.

Jennifer Schulte-Lünzum advises clients in the HealthCare sector on M&A transactions as a Senior Advisor. As an independent management consultant, she has specialized in strategic and operational consulting for acute care and rehabilitation clinics for 15 years, also assisting her clients with acquisitions as part of their strategic development. In addition, Ms. Schulte-Lünzum has extensive expertise, particularly in the area of digitalization of inpatient and outpatient care. Ms. Schulte-Lünzum is the author of numerous professional articles and a speaker on hospital-specific topics.

As Senior Advisor, Daniela Mündler contributes her many years of experience as a managing director and founder with particular expertise in the consumer goods sector. She has led numerous corporate transformations including M&A, including as a board member at Bahlsen in Hannover and CEO of a start-up. She combines diverse, very different perspectives (B2B/B2C, online/offline, corporate/start-up) and thus successfully leverages the potential of a business model. She consistently focuses on the customer and provides the appropriate structures and culture. Ms. Mündler is an accomplished communicator, valued contact person for family entrepreneurs, also and especially as a leader in critical situations.

Mr. Milz looks back on more than 40 years of experience in the international tourism and hospitality industry. In addition, Mr. Milz holds numerous national and international mandates with political and business associations.

Wolfgang Hirsch accompanies M&A transactions in the IT and telecommunications sector as Senior Advisor. Mr. Hirsch has over 25 years of experience in various management functions in the IT and telecommunications industry. He advises medium-sized companies on strategic and operational issues as well as on M&A activities. In addition, Mr. Hirsch lectures on sales-related topics and was a representative at Eurocities and Digitaleurope at the EU in Brussels.

In the past 15 years, he has been responsible for M&A and capital market transactions as a senior manager at RWE AG in an international context. Mr. Engel has extensive transaction transaction expertise in the areas of conventional and renewable energy, power & gas grids as well as distribution. Extensive experience in the field of venture capital completes his profile. Previously, Mr. Engel advised clients from various industries on M&A transactions during his time at Bankhaus Metzler.

Detlef Drafz accompanies national and international transactions in the recycling industry as Senior Advisor. Mr. Drafz has more than 30 years of experience in the raw materials and recycling industry. In the last nine years, he has led the ELG Haniel Group as CEO and strategically realigned it as part of an extensive transformation process. As a lawyer and economist, Mr. Wollweber regularly writes professional articles and is a lecturer for international real estate investment and asset management at Biberach University, IUBH and EBS in Wiesbaden.
